Gospel artist Maudlyn Abajuo has sworn never to engage in secular music.
The musician, who has just released a new work called You Are The Lamb, said she would stick to gospel music and wouldn’t be surprised to sing secular songs even if she were given all the money in the world .
“It’s just gospel music to me, because as a daughter of the most high God, I have to spread the word of God and win souls for him. Also, as a kid, I grew up listening to gospel music with my dad. So I can’t be caught doing gospel music even for all the money in this world,” she claimed.
Maudlyn’s journey into gospel music began as a child, but her ministry was ordained when she met at a prayer meeting in 2019, and that’s also when her gift of songwriting and ministry was born.
“Since then, God has been faithful as I have released three singles and some soul-enriching worship songs, which are available on YouTube,” she said.
Speaking about her new effort, You Are The Lamb, the mother-of-three says it’s a song written from a place of worship. “It’s a song that takes you on a journey of glorification, worship and praise of Jesus as the lamb who died for you and me. It showcases the glory, power and holiness of God and leads you directly into his worship, knowing that he deserves nothing but all our praise and adoration.
