When Treorchy Male Choir posted a video on Facebook of the choir performing a beautiful version of The Everly Brothers’ “Let It Be Me,” they were inundated with messages from people praising their stupendous performance.
Many commented on how beautiful the famous male choir’s version of the classic love song sounded, while others commented on how it brought them to tears.
Recorded at a concert in Nottingham with the Carloton Male Choir, it has so far had over 170,000 views and 3,000 likes.
And it’s not hard to see why. Even by the choir’s brilliantly exacting standards, it’s an exquisite performance.

streams of tears
Led by Carlton Music Director, Rhondda-born Ian Watts, it features the combined choirs of Treorchy and Carlton Male Voice Choir performing the Everly Brothers standard at St Paul’s Church, Nottingham.
From the plaintive openness of the piano to the richness of tone and emotional warmth of those massive male voices, it’s a wonderfully touching performance.
Many comments on Facebook reflected the stunning performance and the emotion it generated in those watching. Here are some comments…

Let It Be Me – The Everly Brothers
I bless the day I found you
I want to stay close to you
And so I’m begging you, let it be me
Don’t take this paradise from one
If you have to hold on to someone
Now and forever let it be me
Every time we meet love
I find love complete
Without your sweet love
What would life be
So don’t ever leave me alone
Say you only love me
And that you will always be
Let it be Me
Every time we meet love
I find love complete
Without your sweet love
What would life be
So don’t ever leave me alone
Tell me that you only love me
And that you will always be
Let it be Me
