
THE WOODLANDS, TX – Luminari Boys Choir is thrilled to announce their Spring Concert to be held Sunday, May 15 at 5:00 p.m. at HopePointe Anglican Church, 3333 South Panther Creek Dr., The Woodlands, Texas 77381. The boys are delighted to share their message of ‘From Darkness to Light… Messages of Hope in Times of Conflict’.
The Tour Choir will attend the Typhoon Texas Choral Competition and Festival the day before this highly anticipated concert. They are gearing up for their widest tour yet in June, through New Orleans, Pensacola, Florida and Alabama.
The Luminari Boys Choir was founded in the fall of 2015 for boy musicians with unchanged voices, ages 6-14. Highlights of the Boys Choir since its founding have been a tour of Louisiana, a tour of Washington DC/Baltimore, and participation in Baltimore. Boychoir Festival with 200 boys, singing in concerts with the Lone Star College Concert Choir, Montgomery County Chorale, Woodlands Chorale, Kingwood Pops Orchestra and Woodlands Symphony Orchestra, in addition to their “house” events, Christmas in the Woods and the Spring Concerts. In 2019 they won Best in Class and Superior ratings at the Schlitterbahn Choral Festival in New Braunfels.

The Luminari Boys Choir is led by Artistic Director Austin Hunt, an acclaimed conductor, soloist and composer with many of his recently released choral pieces. All six choirs from its six colleges won competitions in this year’s UIL competition.
The Luminari Boys Choir organization includes two choirs. Talented boys aged 7 to 13 audition for coveted places in the Tour Choir, a select group of 20 to 30 boys who participate in camps, retreats, trips and tours. TrebleMakers (non-auditioned) is for boys ages 6-8 to discover a love of singing, have fun with music, and develop musical skills and will start again in the fall.
