Heartbeat Health Walk
On July 18 and 25, walkers were led by David Clarke and Linda Everitt on the weekly Heartbeat Health Walk from Church, walking for miles through and around the city; each time ending at a local cafe for refreshments.
Community Care Coffee Morning
On the mornings of July 19 and 26, many Community Care Coffee morning regulars decided to stay cool even though seven people still joined Diane Wheeling to buy books and participate in the raffle.
These coffee mornings take place at the Pavilion every Tuesday morning from 9 to 11 a.m., all welcome.
Over 60 Club
Ruth Ginn welcomed everyone to the meeting at the Pavilion on July 22 and 29 to take part in a 30-question quiz about the Royals led by Ruth and Diane and the bingo games respectively.
There was the usual raffle of prizes donated by members.
Names have been taken for the next outing in Clacton in September.
The singing of the club anthem “God be with you” closed each meeting.

Soham Community Group
On Monday, July 25, Monday Club members enjoyed a day-long visit to the Causeway Community Center.
They chatted a lot while being served coffee, tea and cakes.
Following a ploughman’s lunch offered by Le Cerisier, a take-out sale has been organized for a later date that the club has not yet scheduled.
Birthday wishes were sung to members Avril, Sylvia and Barbara which preceded bingo games and a raffle.
They meet at the Causeway Community Center every Monday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
On the evening of Tuesday July 26, 25 enthusiasts gathered at the Comrades Club for a bingo evening and a raffle during a refreshment break at the bar.
The club welcomes new members, doors open at 7 p.m. and games start at 7:45 p.m.
The Phoenix Club would like to announce that their next meeting will be at the Causeway Community Center on Wednesday August 10th.
Doors open at 9:30 a.m. for a 9:45 a.m. departure.
New members are welcome.
