Acclaimed choir singers perform in Forres this month.
Glasgow University Chapel Choir (UGCC) is at St Leonard’s Church at 7pm on Wednesday June 29 – the talented performers are currently completing a mini-tour of Scotland.
Session clerk Roy Anderson has confirmed that the concert will start at 7pm and the doors will open from 6.30pm – entry will cost £5.
He said: “As part of its first tour since the coronavirus lockdowns, the UGCC will present sacred and secular music from Scotland and beyond.”
The UGCC are regularly invited to tape the daily service and broadcast Sunday worship live on BBC Radio 4. The group also tour regularly and have visited Europe and the United States.
“It is a great honor for St Leonard’s to host this concert,” said Roy.
“The other sites are St Magnus Cathedral in Kirkwall and St Paul’s Cathedral in Dundee.
“Arrive early to make sure you get a good seat!”
St Leonard’s offers musical recitals at noon on Tuesdays from 11.45am this summer from June 28 to August 2 inclusive.
It is hoped that attendees will also be able to enjoy a soup and sandwich lunch in the parish hall from midday to 1.30pm for just £4.
