Well known for performing gigs both big and small since forming in 1976, the Corby Male Voice Choir make a rare appearance in their hometown tonight (Friday).
The choir is no stranger to raising money for charities, and this time around they’ll be “raising the roof” with their voice to help St. John’s Church repair its roof.
The Reverend Paul Frost, Rector of St John’s, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome the Corby Male Voice Choir to the church, and from what I’ve heard we’re going to be delighted with an evening of very good music – there will be something for everyone.
He added, “We are very much looking forward to welcoming our community to the church building for this special concert.
“As I understand the choir rarely performs in Corby so I encourage everyone to take this opportunity to see and hear the choir while they are in town.”
There will be refreshments included in the entry price of £10pp, and there will also be a raffle at night, with the evening starting at 7.30pm at St John’s Church in Old Corby Village, Church Walk , Corby, NN17 1XF.
All proceeds will go to the Church Roof Fund, and tickets can be obtained by calling 07421 301300 or emailing [email protected]
