DICKINSON – The Roses create a fabulous assortment of Salads and Windmills for First Salads and Songs from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7 at Prairie Winds Church located at 2510 21st St W. – directly across from Dickinson Middle L ‘school.
Members will provide a wide assortment of salads of all kinds, from pasta to fruit to dessert. In addition to these salads, there will be many different windmills, delicious bread and scrumptious desserts. Between services, the choir will continue in a song or two. Cookbooks will be available for purchase and will include salad and windmill recipes.
The Prairie Rose Chorus is a member of Sweet Adelines International and is made up of singers who enjoy singing in four-part harmony. The group practices at 6 p.m. every Tuesday in the basement of St. Johns Lutheran Church. Membership is open to women 12 years and older.
“It’s a great group for mothers, daughters and friends. You don’t need to read music to sing with us, you just need to love to sing, we’ll teach you the rest,” said said director Robyn Nadvornik in a press release.
The past two years have been difficult for many organizations and the Prairie Rose Chorus is no different. From in-person rehearsals, to zoom rehearsals, to outdoor rehearsals, to zoom rehearsals, and finally looking forward to being together again to sing in person. To that end, the Prairie Rose Barbershop Chorus invites the public to join them for a re-emergent event.
The cost of salads and songs is $15 per person and will make a wonderful Mother’s Day event.
