Hello from our home in Gainesville Health Care Center to yours.
We had another good week. However, we are still waiting for this good weather. Residents regularly call for warmer weather. The weather is sunny one day and the next it is cold and windy. But it’s spring in the Ozarks. We all know it’s coming. We look forward to releasing more.
Monday was National Pet Day and we had planned for the puppies to come visit the center. Again, the weather was horrible that day, and we rescheduled the date to the following Monday. Instead, we played dominoes and another board game that afternoon.
Tuesday was filled with nail polish for the ladies, and we did washcloth bunnies that afternoon. They turned out great and it was a lot of fun.
Wednesday was a Bible study with Bruce DeWeese, and he did a wonderful job. It’s always a blessing. We look forward to resuming Sunday service. We believe this is something we can now bring back if you and your church would like to get involved, please call us at 417-679-4921.
Thursday was the Residents’ Council meeting. Ryan, our dietary manager, talked about food service and what residents might want. Next, Anna, our Director of Social Services, spoke about residents’ rights and concerns. Then I, Tammie, the Activities Director, talked about adding a new bunco game for seniors and the things we will be doing outside weather permitting.
Friday was busy as we celebrated our monthly birthdays and Easter together and enjoyed a cake prepared by our kitchen staff. We also had family members residing here. The Easter bunny arrived and we were able to take some great photos with the residents. You can find some of these photos on our FB page. Until next time, have a wonderful and blessed week from us here at Gainesville Healthcare Center.
