Cafe Mambo Ibiza Classics
On Friday evening (June 10), Café Mambo’s Ibiza Classics will kick off a weekend of live music at Peterborough’s Embankment.
The event promises anthem DJ sets from legendary British DJ Judge Jules.

A look back at previous great Embankment gigs as Peterborough gear up for Simply…
simply red
Chart-topping soul and pop band Simply Red perform at the Embankment in Peterborough this Saturday night (June 11).
Mick Hucknall and the band will be joined by two special guests – British soul dance diva Lisa Stansfield and award-winning saxophonist YolanDa Brown.
Doors will open at 5 p.m. before Yolanda Brown starts the night at 6:20 p.m.
Lisa Stansfield will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. followed by Simply Red at 9 p.m.

The Cambridgeshire Tour
The Tour of Cambridgeshire, taking place this weekend from Friday June 10 to Sunday June 12, is Britain’s biggest cycling festival.
The cycling festival will feature a weekend of fully enclosed road cycling events, as well as a food court, exhibition, live music, entertainment, family activities, camping and glamping at the East of England Arena and Events Center / East of England Showground, on the road to Oundle.
Peterborough Dragon Boat Festival
The 22nd Peterborough Dragon Boat Festival takes place at Peterborough Rowing Lake, Thorpe Meadows on Saturday, June 11, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Up to 48 teams will make a splash at the 200m racecourse at Peterborough Rowing Lake.
St Botolph Festival on the Green
The popular volunteer-run St Botolph sur le vert festival will take place in Orton Longueville on Saturday June 11th.
The festival involves a mixture of food, drink, music and entertainment.
Breakfast will be available from 8.30am, followed by live music, performances, an RAF Hurricane flypast, dog show and disco.
Rides, stalls and pub games will be available throughout the day.
sawmill carnival
The Sawtry Carnival will take place at Sawtry Village Academy, on Fen Lane, on Saturday, June 11, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Carnival promises to be a tropical party with a midday parade, food, drink, rides, live music and more.
Vegan Market on Cathedral Square
There will be a vegan market in Cathedral Square on Saturday, June 11, from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The market will offer punters the chance to indulge in a variety of vegan street food, artisan pastries, artisan cheeses – as well as purchase handmade cosmetics, ethical clothing, jewelry and more.
Peterborough Choral Society
The Peterborough Choral Society is holding a celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and 70 years of reign at St Kyneburgha’s Church, Castor on Saturday June 11 at 3pm.
The mixed-voice choir will perform coronation hymns, music from the Diamond and Platinum Jubilees and Her Majesty’s favorite musicals.
Peterborough Cherry Fair
John Thurston and Sons presents the Peterborough Cherry Fair – to be held at The Millfield, Lincoln Road, June 10-19.
Entry to the fair is £1. It will open on weekdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.
