AFTER singing a storm on the Nowra Show this weekend, the Shoalhaven Community Choir will embark on another exciting adventure this Friday. The inaugural meeting of the Shoalhaven Community Children’s Choir. The first meeting will take place at the annex of the Nowra School of Arts this Friday, February 11 between 4 and 5:30 p.m. Read more: Like the Shoalhaven Community Choir, the Children’s Choir is open to anyone who wishes to participate. While the ages are primarily aimed at 8-15 year olds, there is flexibility. A three-week trial is offered – cost if only $5 per session, payable on the day, which covers room rental and a pianist. The community choir’s performances at the Nowra Show last weekend were well received, with the members certainly living up to the group’s motto “United Through Voice”. The choir sings a variety of new and contemporary music and enjoys singing at public events whenever possible. The Shoalhaven Community Choir has been active for approximately four years, is a mix of ages, and membership is open to all ages, abilities, and genders.
