
From parades to Spooktaculars, here are some Halloween-themed activities lurking in the North Allegheny area throughout October.
Trick-or-Treating
Bradford Woods, Franklin Park, Marshall and the Town of McCandless all share the same day and time of 6-8 p.m. for Trick-or-Treating this Halloween, October 31.
Borough of Bradford Woods
Dress up and take part in the annual Halloween Parade sponsored by the Bradford Woods Volunteer Fire Company on October 28th. Those in attendance should line up at the Bradford Woods Community Church at 6:15 p.m. More information can be found via the VFC Facebook page.
Franklin Park Borough
Halloween in the Park 2022 will be held at Blueberry Hill Park at the Activity Center on October 29 from 6-7:30 p.m. Space is limited. Registration for the children’s program via the borough’s recreation page via www.franklinparkborough.us
Ingomar Volunteer Fire Company Halloween and Open House
The annual Halloween Parade and Open House will take place on October 29. Come and meet in costume at 4:45 p.m. in front of Ingomar Elementary School on West Ingomar Road, ending at the VFC station at 9695 Harmony Drive, the parade starts at 5 p.m.
Township of Marshall
Marshall Township is hosting a Mad Science Spooktacular, October 26, 1-3 p.m. The North Allegheny School District is closed that day. The event is for ages 6 to 12. The cost is $30 for residents, $35 for non-residents. Register before October 26 via the Marshall Township Parks and Recreation page via www.twp.marshall.pa.us. Mad Science is hosted by the township, but will be managed by Mad Science of Pittsburgh. Registration is open until filled or until October 23.
Town of McCandless
Attend The Notorious North Hills Volume II, “Tale of Our Infamous History,” October 27 at 7 p.m. at the Lodge at North Park on North Ridge Road, Allison Park. Tickets are $50 and include dinner, drinks, presentation and silent auction. Tickets can be reserved by calling 412-364-0616, Ext. 300.

North Allegheny Foundation
The annual Trick Or Trot will be held October 29 on the campus of Marshall Middle/Elementary Schools. The 5K race starts at 8:30am with a fun 1 mile run at 9:30am. The NA Tiger Marching Band will perform at 9:00 a.m. A costume parade will take place at 10:00 a.m.
The cost to participate is $25 for the 5K Run and the 1-mile Fun Run. The event benefits the NA Foundation, which provides grants and scholarships to students and staff. Register on www.northallegheny.org before October 28. Assistance will be provided by North Allegheny ROTC. The donation goal is $25,000.
Last year, the event raised more than $20,000, according to the school district.
