Songs of good humor, the annual event organized by the Archdiocese of Calcutta, kicks off the Christmas festivities in the city each year with a delicious evening of Christmas carols. “As Christians we have the rare privilege of celebrating the coming of the Lord. Live performances from the city’s top church choirs and crooners are scheduled at the Church of the Sacred Heart this evening. The curtain raiser will see Kolkatan singer Savita Kapper sing Once upon a time christmas and O Christmas tree followed by a total of 14 church choirs bringing the good old Christmas joy. Rev. Dominic Gomes, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Calcutta, will honor the event as guest of honor. So if you are in the mood to have fun with Rockin ‘around the Christmas tree and Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, go for it!
Good mood songs will be broadcast on the Archdiocese of Calcutta YouTube channel for anyone unable to attend the event live.
