My favorite month of the year starts on Saturday, and if you want to get into the Halloween spirit, I’ve got a fun day for you!
Now we have already talked about the Lindsey Base Camp Haunted House, it looks like it will start on October 14th. What if you wanted Halloween activities now? Well, good news, we have good things from Saturday. Just a friendly reminder, Lindsey Base Camp is for ages 12 and up. However, these activities are fun for the whole family.
If you want to do something free with the family on Saturday, head to the University Methodist Church at 3405 Taft Boulevard. Kids can go out and paint pumpkins, eat food (hopefully candy), play carnival games, and the evening will end with a screening of “Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin.” The event starts at 6 a.m. this Saturday and you can get more information on the church website.
Just a 45 minute drive from Wichita Falls is Davidson, Oklahoma. The Red River Pumpkin Patch is gearing up for exciting weekends in October. On Saturdays and Sundays you can get pumpkin patch, corn mazes, and hay rides to name just a few of the fun activities you can do.
However, the thing that excites me the most. The Haunted Corn Maze. I love a corn maze, but one at night seems so much more fun. From 8 p.m. to midnight on Saturdays in October, you can take part in this event. I know we have a bunch of haunted trails in our area that open in October. I don’t know that many corn mazes that open in late October. For more information, see the Red River Pumpkin Patch Facebook.
I know we will have LOTS more Halloween activities to come next month. If you are aware of everything that is happening through Texoma. Send them to me.
