Emilia “eligible” has already spoken
Emilia Boateng has been crowned Tatler’s Most Eligible Bachelor – but not everyone is happy for her.
Every year the society bible compiles a list of the UK’s 200 most eligible people, called its little black book, and celebrates by throwing a party to bring them all together.
Emilia, 22, appeared on this year’s cover, below, alongside Most Eligible Bachelor, footballer Mason Mount, and tells me she was bombarded with furious messages from heartbroken female fans of the Chelsea star, who feared the couple was dating.
Bizarrely, although Emilia – the model daughter of Savile Row Ozwald royalty – won the singleton crown, she actually has a boyfriend.

Emilia appears in my photo, next to her photographer Ahmed Hassan. “I pushed for Tatler’s first black photographer, which is really important to me,” she said.
England star Mason wasn’t at the party, which isn’t surprising considering he’s only been to a pub once – and that was to film a commercial!
Tatler can now often feature Love Island stars on his Black Book list, but he hasn’t completely forgotten about the aristocracy. The Duke of Argyll’s eldest son, Archie Campbell, Marquess of Lorne, tells me he is honored to honor the pages. The Marquess, 18, is currently torn over which university to attend – Exeter or Newcastle – where he intends to study campaign management before taking over his family’s Scottish estate.
