Dorset Rock Choir hold three concerts over two days in the county to raise funds for the British Red Cross Ukrainian Appeal.
The first two concerts will be on Thursday, June 30, with the first taking place at Dorchester United Church from noon to 1 p.m.
The set list will include songs like Earth, Wind & Fire, Simon & Garfunkel, Jess Glyn, James Bay and Meatloaf.
Also on Thursday 30th June, the choir performs a concert at St John’s Church, Weymouth, from 8-9pm.
The following day, Friday July 1, they will sing at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Poole from 8 to 9 p.m.
The concerts are free, but there is a retirement donation for the charity in cash or by card.
Local rock choir leader Stacey Hobday said: ‘As a choir we love to play, if we can fundraise at the same time that makes it all the more wonderful. Watching the crisis in Ukraine unfold through the media has been heartbreaking and being able to contribute something, however small, to the ongoing efforts feels important to both me and the choir. We want to stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people and use our voices to lift the spirits of our local community at the same time. »
