WORCESTER’s Got 2 Sing Choir dressed in pink in support of Breast Cancer Now’s flagship fundraising event.
Every October, for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, people around the world show their support for everyone affected by breast cancer. This is a topic close to everyone’s heart with many people having a family or friend who has been touched by breast cancer.
The choir members wore pink during rehearsals, while donating to the Breast Cancer Now charity, raising an impressive £241, and a grand total with their sister choirs Got 2 Sing of just under £1 £720.
Choir leader Cathy Hart said, “Breast cancer awareness means a lot to us at Got 2 Sing. We heard many personal stories from members about their experience with breast cancer and how joining a choir or singing has brightened many dark days and certainly lifted their spirits, so it was important that we honor National Cancer Awareness Month breast in any way. could.
“The ‘wear it in pink’ idea turned out to be very successful and a lot of fun during our rehearsal last week. It feels good to be able to play a part in fundraising to help advance vital breast cancer research and lifesaving support! »
