Tenby Male Choir is delighted to announce its summer program for 2022, celebrating its return to singing and fundraising after two years.
Most concerts will be in Tenby, St Mary’s or St Johns Churches with other fundraisers in Penally and Pembroke. Weather permitting, the choir will also perform at outdoor barbecues at Cresselly and Lawrenny Quays, before rounding off the season with a joint gala concert with Serendipity Ladies Choir.
“The Covid pandemic has been a challenge for choirs around the world. Airborne infections made singing potentially dangerous for others, while many singers were vulnerable to serious illnesses due to their age and health issues, especially before vaccinations became available,” said Mike Roch of the choir.
“Members of the Tenby Male Choir began practicing again late last summer, but it took us several months to rebuild our membership and our voices after the inevitable disruption caused. We focused our efforts on a repertoire of base of familiar songs and will be ready to play again in a few weeks.
“We have sorely missed being able to contribute to the life of the region and its visitors by making music and raising funds, and we look forward to singing for Tenby once again.
Admission will be £10 per person with £8 concessions. Doors open for most concerts at 7:30 p.m. for 8 p.m., unless otherwise specified. Further details, including any unavoidable program changes, will be announced via http://Facebook.com/TenbyMaleChoir and the website http://TenbyMaleChoir.org
